The Chapel of the Holy Cross is located in Paradanova, a village of 26 inhabitants on the Primitive Way, municipality of A Fonsagrada, province of Lugo, 160 km from Santiago. This strategic location, where two routes of the Camino converge, suggests that in the past there were inns for travelers and pilgrims, given the harsh winter conditions in the area. The chapel is a simple rectangular temple with a wooden gabled roof and a simple portico protecting the entrance. In its altar there is a guardian angel next to the Holy Cross, as well as two images of the Virgin of the Rosary and another of Saint Joseph. The architecture of the chapel, built in gray ashlar and covered with tiles, is modest but inspiring, conveying a sense of protection and humility.
