About 3600 km, most of them by sea, separate the grotto of St. Paul in Rabat (Malta) from Santiago de Compostela. A route made possible today thanks to the efforts of the entities that make up the Maltese Way: XirCammini (Maltese Segment of the Maltese Way), Associazione Borgo San Giacomo in Piazza Armerina (Cammino di San Giacomo in Sicilia), the Cammino di Santu Jacu, (Sardinia) and the Catalan Way to Santiago.
