Way of Peace

The Path of Peace is a 520-kilometer pilgrimage route intertwining spirituality, culture, and history. Spanning three Italian regions from L’Aquila to Monte Sant’Angelo, the route is divided into 29 stages and serves as a bridge for intercultural and interfaith dialogue. The concept emerged in 2010, a year after the 2009 earthquake devastated L’Aquila. Luciano Caramanico, the route’s founder, credits his daughter’s survival during the disaster as the inspiration for the project.

Assoz. Cammino della Pace

The Associazione Cammino della Pace (Way of Peace) was founded in 2005 after a meeting with Raimon Panikkar, with the aim of promoting an interreligious and intercultural pilgrimage route that spans 29 municipalities in Abruzzo, Molise, and Puglia. The project, supported by the Arbor Foundation, local governments, associations, and volunteers, seeks to revitalize rural areas through intercultural dialogue and community hospitality.
