The Church of St. Joseph the Artisan, in central San Giovanni Rotondo, was founded in 1958 with Padre Pio’s blessing. Inaugurated in 1965 and dedicated in 1990, it is a modern church with a central plan, mosaics, stained glass, and a Blessed Sacrament chapel. Today it is one of the city’s largest and most active parishes, recently restored in 2024.
