The Chapel of Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz is a small building of popular baroque style of the 18th century, which was originally part of a palace belonging to a wealthy lord of the town. Inside, it houses sculptural representations of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ. Among its most outstanding pieces is the set of the Calvary, a work of the sixteenth century whose crucified Christ was mutilated of both arms to be used in the processions of Holy Week as part of the passage of the Holy Burial. It also stands out a Christ tied to the column, a baroque sculpture of the seventeenth century, belonging to the Castilian school, of remarkable beauty.
