    Ruins of the ancient city

Chapter 46 of the Acts of the Apostles speaks of Paul’s passage through the city of Perga of Pamphylia, when he was traveling to Antioch Pisidia. Returning to the city, he preached there (although presumably for a short time).

During the time of Constantine the Great (324-337), Perge became an important Christian center, until the 5th-6th centuries. Among its ruins, two towers, a theater and a temple dedicated to Artemis stand out. It also features a stadium and an agora.
