The Church of Tal-Virtù, formally known as the Church of the Assumption of Mary of Tal-Virtù, is a round Roman Catholic church located on a hill on the outskirts of Rabat, Malta. Built atop ancient Punic, Phoenician, and Roman burial grounds, it also houses a medieval Christian crypt converted from early Christian catacombs. The original church was constructed around 1436 and later replaced by the current rotunda after the 1693 earthquake. It became a pilgrimage site due to its devotion to the Virgin Mary and housed a famous statue of the Redeemer, installed on its dome in 1901. Damaged by an earthquake in 1923 and later desecrated, the church underwent full restoration starting in 1988 and now once again serves as a site of Christian devotion.
