The Parish of the Holy Family in Apricena was established on October 22, 1980, by Bishop Angelo Criscito. In 1988, the new modern church was inaugurated, featuring a single central nave and a semicircular apse with a fresco of the Holy Family. Wooden statues of St. Padre Pio, Pope John Paul II, and the Virgin of Mount Carmel adorn the sides. The parish marked its 30th anniversary in 2012 with a Jubilee Year and Holy Door rite. Three parish priests have served since its founding.
