The church of San Pedro, in El Oso (Ávila), is a 16th-century temple built mainly of stone, taking advantage of the proximity of the Mingorría and Cardeñosa quarries. It has three naves separated by large semicircular arches covered with wooden frames, and a presbytery with three rectangular chapels. Its 17th century Baroque altarpiece, the work of Manuel Vázquez Moyano, stands out. Around the church and in the atrium there are granite tombstones, some with inscriptions, which probably belong to important personalities.
