Church of San Secundus

San Secondo Church, located in a secluded clearing near the Monastic Community of Bose in Magnano (Piedmont), is among the finest rural Romanesque churches between the Biella and Canavese areas. Built in the 11th century on the site of an earlier Benedictine chapel, the church was later expanded and survived demolition in the 1600s thanks to local resistance. Baroque additions were made, but a major restoration in 1968 returned the structure to its Romanesque origins. The church features a simple façade with three naves, decorated apses, an elegant bell tower with trifora windows, and a 13th–14th-century fresco of the Crucifixion.
