Church of Saint Mary of the Rosary

Built in 1914 on the ruins of a Dominican convent, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Rosary stands in the district named after a painting of the Virgin and the fifteen mysteries, which survived the 1627 earthquake. Promoted by the Rosary Congregation and Don Giovanni Traino, it became a new parish seat. During the 20th century, its facade, bells, and interiors were restored, and parish halls and the San Domenico Savio oratory were added. Today, it remains the spiritual heart of the “Rione del Rosario”.
