Ruins of cave churches
Archaeological site that is identified in connection with ancient Lystra, the city where Paul and Barnabas preached on several occasions and from which Saint Timothy was originally from. The city has not yet been excavated.
The Christians used Kilistra, a rock-cut complex, to hide and ensure their defense. In Kilistra you can visit monastic complexes, churches carved into the rocks, chapels, tombs, shelters, watchtowers, meeting centers, cisterns. There are cellars, canals, a bridge and underground dwellings.
