The chapel of Santa Bárbara de Silvela is a place located on the Primitive Way, in the municipality of A Fonsagrada, province of Lugo, Galicia. With only 12 inhabitants and at a distance of 163 km from Santiago, this chapel is a point of interest for pilgrims. Recently built, it houses in its interior an image of Santa Barbara. The temple is adorned with Jacobean symbols, including a scallop with the cross of Santiago and a staff, engraved on the tympanum of the door. The chapel is known for its welcoming atmosphere, and it is said that Santa Barbara protects the stocks of bread and wine and watches over all the pilgrims who pass through it.
