Creation, Redemption, The History of Christ in the Church and The Company of Jesus. Here are the four themes that are exhibited in the rooms of the Diocesan Museum of Baroque Art in San Ignacio de Guazú, department of Misiones (Paraguay). It is a reference site when it comes to contacting the wonderful representations of the Hispanic Guaraní baroque, something that was possible thanks to the Jesuits in Paraguay.

This place, which is part of the Jesuit Route, contains 30 images carved in polychrome wood and with the particularity that you can see details such as the subtle movement of the tunics, as well as documents from the time of the reductions (texts copied by the Guaraníes and even a letter from King Felipe IV dated back on year 1635).
