The Church of St. Peter, located in the Capuchin district, was built in the 1950s over a 19th-century chapel dedicated to the saint. In 1954, Archbishop Benigno Luciano Migliorini commissioned its construction, and in 1957, it was inaugurated along with a building for Catholic Action. In 1965, the Capuchin friars took over. Inside, it features stained-glass windows, frescoes by Peppe Candeloro, including the impressive Sermon on the Mount, and bronze reliefs at the entrance. It also houses 18th-century processional statues and busts of St. Peter and St. Paul.
