The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary in Navelli, built in the Baroque style, is located near Piazza Municipio. It was originally erected atop the 15th-century Church of San Pelino di Valva, which served a small Dominican community until Pope Innocenzo X suppressed the order in 1652. After the devastating earthquake of 1703, the church was entirely rebuilt under the guidance of Reverend don Francesco Antonio Francesconi, who installed the Congregation of the Blessed Rosary. Reconstruction works began in 1726 and were completed by the end of the 18th century. The exterior is modest, featuring a flat facade with a bricked-up central window and a stone portal adorned with decorative elements. The single-nave interior boasts a monumental wooden organ, intricately carved and painted wood details with golden friezes, and is crowned by a statue of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary. Damaged by the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake, the church was reopened exactly 10 years later on the feast of Madonna di Pompei.
