Saint Blaise's chapel in the outskirts of Siġġiewi By NickGeorge1993 at English Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0

Chapel of Saint Blaise

The Chapel of St Blaise, located in the countryside between Siġġiewi and Rabat, dates back to 1430, although the current building was reconstructed in 1691 by Canon Antonio Manso, a member of the Mdina Cathedral chapter. Dedicated to Saint Blaise of Sebaste, patron saint of throat illnesses and wool combers, the chapel features a rectangular structure with five arches and a single stone altar. The titular painting by Giuseppe D’Arena is preserved in the Mdina Cathedral Museum for security reasons. Today, Mass is celebrated only once a month, on the first Sunday at 10 a.m., and the chapel is under the jurisdiction of the Cathedral of St Paul in Mdina.
