The Church of San Lorenzo, located in the upper part of Rapino, stands at the entrance of Via Roma. Its origins are uncertain, but its current structure dates back to the 17th-18th centuries. The church is accessed laterally through a stone architraved portal and a staircase. It has a rectangular layout, a single nave, and a double-pitched wooden truss roof, decorated in late Baroque style with polychrome stuccoes. The side walls feature arched niches housing minor altars, while the main altar is adorned with a polychrome marble tabernacle and a statue of Saint Lawrence. The stone bell tower, with a rectangular base, contains a 14th-century bell, likely from the Monastery of San Salvatore a Maiella. Every August 10, Rapino celebrates the feast of Saint Lawrence, its patron saint.
