The Church of Santa Maria Assunta, located in Largo Assunta at the highest point of Lentella, dates back to before the 14th century. It underwent major transformations during the 18th and 19th centuries. Originally dependent on the Monastery of Sant’Angelo in Cornacchiano, it preserves sculpted stone elements from the original structure, including a probable 1502 inscription. The current Baroque-style interior features a single nave and houses statues of the town’s patron saints, along with a scale model of the village.
