The Church of Sant’Antonio di Padova was built in 1640 by Andrea Gonzaga on the ruins of Santa Maria di Loreto, destroyed in the 1627 earthquake. It was entrusted to the Observant Friars and features late Baroque altars and a gilded wooden statue of the saint. The adjoining convent, decorated with frescoes of Francis and Anthony’s lives, was suppressed in 1811 and later housed the town hall and school.
