The Chapel of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Lentella was first mentioned in 1576. Originally used only on the saints’ feast day, it had a simple altar and a bell gable. Rebuilt in neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th century by architect Ciancaglini, its construction involved the entire community. Notably, local artisans Beniamino and Angiolino Turilli crafted its ornate plaster ceiling. Damaged by the 2002 earthquake, the chapel remained closed for years until it reopened for worship in 2019.
