Santa Maria in Silvis is the oldest church in Serracapriola, built in the 11th century alongside the castle. After being destroyed by an earthquake in 1627, it was rebuilt in 1630 incorporating original elements such as the stone entrance and the 16th-century baptismal font. The church features a striking dome on an octagonal drum and refined brick decorations by Donato Gentile. Inside, it houses precious artworks, including a 1534 image of the Virgin with gold and gemstone details, a painting by Francesco da Tolentino, and an 18th-century Annunciation. It also includes the Maresca family chapel and a statue of Saint Michael from the 1700s.
