Located in the historic heart of Serracapriola, the Church of Sant’Anna is among the town’s oldest. Built in the 16th century on the old city walls, its square façade dates to 1742. In the 18th century, it served as the chapel for a hospital assisting the poor and pilgrims. The devastating earthquake of 1805 is still commemorated each July 26 with a toll from its twin bells. Featuring a single nave and five altars, including one to Saint Anne (1841), the church also houses a historic golden wooden organ. After damage from 2002 earthquakes, it was fully restored and reopened to worship.
