Chapel of Virgen de la Esperanza

The Chapel of Hope of Malneira, located on the Primitive Way, is a special place for pilgrims on their way to Acebo. Built between the twelfth and eighteenth centuries, this humble chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Hope houses a rustic polychrome altarpiece with images of the Virgin of Carmen, Our Lady of Hope and the Child Jesus. In spite of its small size, the chapel shows a magnificent state of conservation. The Malneirenses celebrate every first week of July an important feast in honor of the Virgin of Hope, demonstrating the great devotion they have to their patron saint.
