John XXIII Peace Lab

Peace Lab Malta, founded in 1971 by Franciscan friar Dionysius Mintoff, is a peace centre and voluntary organization based in Hal Far, on the site of a former WWII airfield. It was transformed from a war zone into a sanctuary for peace, offering adult education, human rights initiatives, and social outreach through media and community work. Surrounded by gardens and housing several facilities, the Peace Lab welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs, serving as a hub for dialogue, justice, and compassion.
